Remebering “Moushie”
‘Moushie’, as we lovingly call her, served with Pandita Ramabai Mukti Mission (PRMM) for 60 years left us and went to her heavenly aboard on 28 November 2019.
PRMM mourned its loss but celebrated her life and testimony she left behind. She is gone but her work and witness will always be etched in our hearts.
Having heard the call to go to India, Ms. Margaret Williams (Moushie) left for India in 1955. She learnt Marathi, served as P.A. to the Superintendent (Chief Functionary) of Mukti and also looked after a group of girls in the flower house called ‘Frangipani’ and they were like her own daughters. She mothered them, nurtured them and helped them pursue their goals in life.
